On Thursday Representative John Conyers, Jr. wrote to FTC Chairwoman Deborah Platt Majoras
asking the FTC to study price gouging in the gasoline market. More importantly for the surviving victims of Katrina (more accurately, the surviving victims of the Bush Administration mismanagement of Katrina, will
introduce legislation this week to amend the recently passed Bankruptcy Code so that, "the most onerous provisions of the new law, scheduled to take effect October 17, do not inflict damage on the millions of victims of Hurricane Katrina and their families."
Way to go, Representative Conyers. And I mean that sincerely.
